The chief designer, Ayu, imagines a post-apocalyptic world in the future where some people live above surface in a cyberpunk world, but most live below surface in underground cities. The designer dedicates his design for those who live underground.

He calls the style "WASTELANDISM." It symbolizes a pursuit of fashion despite the lack of resources and a poor quality of life in the post-apocalyptical world.

The spirit of UNDERWATER® is a state of mind: to escape from reality, from pressure, and to hide in one's own world. A place without any anxiety or unhappiness.
