How to Spot a Fake RELABEL

Popular designs get copied, and copies are often sold using our own product photos. This page shows what genuine RELABEL looks like, so you can tell the difference.

What genuine RELABEL looks like

The waistband tab and "RE" button

Small black woven RELABEL tab coming out of a pocket-flap seam, next to a silver button stamped with an RE monogram
On our Scar Six-Pocket Draw-String Rivet Pants, a small black woven tab with "RELABEL" in wide white capitals comes out of a pocket-flap seam below the elastic waistband, and the brushed-silver button is stamped with an "RE" monogram inside a rounded, cloud-like outline.

Labels on the outside

Two cream woven labels stitched on the outside of a shirt's back yoke, one reading RELABEL and one showing the size
On our Dynamic Butterfly Shirt, two cream woven labels are stitched on the outside under the collar: a long one printed "RELABEL" and a short one with the size between two small petal-shaped marks.

Detachable scarves

Plaid scarf threaded through a zipped opening on a shorts waistband, with a large metal zip pull and a see-through amber bead
On our Detachable Scarf Washed Multi-Pocket Wide-Leg Shorts, the scarf runs through a zipped opening, with a large metal zip pull and a big see-through amber bead, so it comes off instead of being sewn on.

The butterfly print

Shirt front with a black butterfly-like print running diagonally down from the shoulder
Our Dynamic Butterfly Shirt has a black butterfly-like print, drawn from the brand logo, running diagonally down the front.

Hardware as part of the design

Trouser pockets with exposed metal snaps and drawcord toggles
On the same Scar Six-Pocket pants, exposed metal snaps and drawcord toggles are part of the look.

Signs of a copy

  • A big "sale" against a "was" price that is higher than the piece has ever sold for.
  • Our product photos and descriptions, shown under a different shop name.
  • "Detachable" parts that are sewn on, or a scarf sewn in place instead of threaded through a zipped opening.
  • No "RELABEL" label pair at the back neck of a shirt or tee, or a plain button with no "RE" stamp.
  • RELABEL is an ordinary English word, so ads and search results using it may be a different business altogether.

Where to buy genuine RELABEL
