How to Spot a Fake WHISTLEHUNTER

Popular designs get copied, and copies are often sold using our own product photos. This page shows what genuine WHISTLEHUNTER looks like, so you can tell the difference.

What genuine WHISTLEHUNTER looks like

The leather tag at the back neck

Tone-on-tone leather patch below a T-shirt's back neckline, debossed with a radiating emblem above the word WHISTLEHUNTER
Our Classic Leather-Tag T-Shirt carries a stitched-on leather patch just below the back neckline: a debossed emblem of lines radiating from a centre, crossed by curved arcs, above "WHISTLEHUNTER®". It is tone-on-tone, with no coloured print.

The same emblem on the shoebox

Our WHISTLEHUNTER x Oto3 Logo Derby Shoes come in a box printed with the same radiating emblem.

The textured patch on the jeans

Grey hairy-textured leather patch on a jeans back waistband, debossed with a single curved swoosh mark
Our Stacked Washed Rivet Flare Jeans have a grey, hairy-textured horsehair leather patch on the back waistband, debossed with a single curved swoosh mark and no lettering.

The brand name in Russian

Hoodie front with large Cyrillic lettering
Our Washed Graphic Embroidered Hoodie spells the brand name in Russian, "Охотник за свистками" ("hunter of whistles"), printed large on the front and embroidered in a round badge on the sleeve.

Winged belt buckles

Glossy black double leather belt with polished silver buckles shaped like swept-back wings
Our Double-Layer Gloss Leather Belt pairs glossy black leather with high-polish silver buckles shaped like swept-back wings.

Signs of a copy

  • A big "sale" against a "was" price that is higher than the piece has ever sold for.
  • Our product photos and descriptions, shown under a different shop name.
  • A printed or rubber logo at the back neck where the genuine tee has a stitched-on leather patch with the debossed emblem.
  • A social account or website using the WHISTLEHUNTER name that does not link to the brand's own channels below.
  • A shop you reached through a social media ad, with very low prices or odd spelling. Search the shop's name with "review" before you pay.
